3 Provision - What Do You Have In The House

 • Rev. Darrell Alexander • Series: ELISHA— A TALE OF RIDICULOUS FAITH

Week 3 of our Elisha series, “Provision – What’s In Your House,” centers on a widow in 2 Kings 4:1–7 who is overwhelmed by grief, debt, and hopelessness. Her story reminds us that even when we feel we have nothing left, God is already working with what’s in our house. Elisha doesn’t offer her money or pity—he asks her to take inventory. Her “nothing but a small jar of oil” becomes the foundation for a miracle. This message teaches us two key principles: (1) Stop waiting for what you want and start working with what you have. (2) Offer God what you have and trust Him to give you what you need. When we become empty vessels, ready to be filled, the oil of God’s provision flows freely. Get ready to be challenged, encouraged, and reminded that God doesn’t need much—just what you’re willing to surrender.
